Attorney Profiles
Todd A. Becker has been a civil trial lawyer with the Madison law firm of Coyne, Schultz, Becker & Bauer, S.C. or its predecessors since his admission to the Wisconsin bar in 1983. Todd earned his B.A. degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin in 1980 and his J.D. degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1983. He is board certified as a civil trial advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Dane County Bar Association.
Todd's practice is devoted exclusively to civil litigation throughout the State of Wisconsin, primarily in defense of individuals, insurance companies and corporations. He is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Wisconsin. Todd concentrates on professional liability defense (architectural, accounting, engineering, stockbrokers, investment advisors and third-party administrators), product liability, personal injury, insurance coverage, general negligence liability and workers' compensation. Todd also often serves as a mediator or arbitrator at the request of counsel or the judiciary.
Todd has been a speaker at many Continuing Legal Education programs. In conjunction therewith, he has authored numerous articles on insurance coverage, litigating insurance coverage issues, rules of evidence, ethical considerations and the defense of workers' compensation claims.
Todd lives in Madison with his wife and three children.
